The City's Building and Safety functions are on a contractual basis. The Building Division reviews private development and subdivision maps, enforces the City's Building and Safety Codes, reviews plans and issues permits. This Department also enforces provisions of the City's building regulations pertaining to substandard properties. The Building Counter is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for permits and code complaints. Please visit "Document Central" under "Building and Safety" for permit applications, or click here. The Building Plan Checker is available on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for minor corrections to plans and structural and code questions.
