The City's Building and Safety functions are on a contractual basis. Onward Engineering reviews private development and subdivision maps, and enforces the City's Building and Safety Codes. The Building Officials review plans and issue permits. This Department also enforces provisions of the City's building regulations pertaining to substandard properties.
