Carl Westerhoff, Council Member

Background: 

Council Member Westerhoff was elected to the City Council in March 2009.  He previously served on the City's Planning Commission, where he advised the Council on development projects within the community.  A resident of La Habra Heights since 2001 and a successful business leader, Council Member Westerhoff brings extensive experience in management, finance, and planning to the City Council.

Council Member Westerhoff and his wife of 24 years, Mary, have a long track record of community involvement.  They are proud to be involved in many local organizations, including the La Habra Heights Improvement Association, Lost Animal Network, Hills for Everyone, and the Children's Museum of La Habra.  Before moving to La Habra Heights, Council Member Westerhoff served as President of the Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Rotary Club in the City of Downey. 

A retired healthcare executive, Council Member Westerhoff holds a Masters in Education from California State University, Los Angeles; and a Bachelor of Arts from Occidental College.
