Background:

Age 60.  I have lived in the Heights since 1998 and have enjoyed the serenity and beauty of our city. In 2003 my wife Karen and I moved to our current home on Chota Road. We have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.  We love animals and have many. 

I graduated from Valencia High School in Placentia in 1966 and attended USC from 1966 until receiving my BS in Business Administration in 1970. I served in the United States Navy from 1970 until 1974 and was honorably discharged. I started in the family business Vip Rubber Company Inc. in 1974 and am the CEO. I have been active in my Church for many years. I am a member of Hacienda Golf Club since 1998 and was a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer from 2004 until April 2007. I belong to The Los Angeles Rubber Group, Inc. and served as Chairman of this trade organization in 2001.  The Los Angeles Rubber Group, a division of the American Chemical Society, bestowed their highest honor, Honorary Life Member, on me in 2009.
