November 5, 2019 General Municipal Election
The November 5, 2019 La Habra Heights Local and Municipal Election is a Consolidated Election administered by the Los Angeles County Registrar/Recorder.
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Ballots will be counted at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Main Office beginning at 8:15 pm. Results will be posted as they come in on the County's website. Please refresh your browser every 20 minutes to update the results.

November 5, 2019 City Council Election
La Habra Heights is a general law city governed by a five-member City Council. City Council Members are elected to staggered 4- or 5-year terms, with three members elected at one election, and two the next. Pursuant to SB 415, the City's next four General Municipal Elections are as follows:
- November 5, 2019 - Two seats, 5-year terms
- November 2022 - Three seats, 4-year terms
- November 2024 - Two seats, 4-year terms
- November 2026 - Three seats, 4-year terms
As the elections official, the City Clerk administers procedures through which City Council Members are elected. Additionally, the City Clerk's office assists candidates, committees and voters before, during, and after the election.

2019 ELECTION CALENDAR
May 13 | Council called election and adopted accompanying documents related to placing Council seats on the ballot. |
July 1 | Notice of Election was published. |
July 15 - August 12 | Filing period for Nomination Papers. |
August 14 | Last day to file Nomination Papers for Office for which an incumbent has not filed. |
August 15 | Secretary of State to determine order of candidates' names on ballot. |
August 22 | Last day to cancel election due to insufficient number of candidates. |
August 10 - August 19 | Ten-day period during which Candidate Statements may be viewed by the public. |
September 26 | Last day to file first pre-election Campaign Statement for the period July 1, 2019 through September 21, 2019. |
August 10 - November 5 | Late contribution sof $1,000 or more must be reported within 24 hours of receipt during this period. Reports due on a weekend of state holiday, other than the weekend before the election, are extended to the next business day. |
October 21 | Last day to register to vote. |
October 24 | Last day to file second pre-election Campaign Statement for the period September 22, 2019 through October 19, 2019. |
October 29 | Last day to publish Notice of Nominees. |
November 5 | Election Day |
January 31, 2020 | Last day to file semi-annual Campaign Statements for the period October 20, 2019 through December 31, 2019. |
